Professional Photography Experience
Some days it's just me, up at 4am driving to a small family farm in my reliable old pickup truck. Carrying nothing more than a beat up Nikon F3, 50mm lens and a few rolls of Tri-X film. I'm tired, unshaven and wearing worn leather boots. Aside from the occasional deer or opossum, I'm alone. As I make my way along the dusty dirt road I can see the farm about a half mile out and there are lights coming from the fields. It's hay season and I'm here to tell the story of a successful 4th generation American farmer working his land.
Other days I'm surrounded by my team of high energy creatives, who I'm leading to create the best pictures possible. We work out of my 2,300 square foot studio in an old ice cream factory in Rochester's Neighborhood of the Arts. The floors are wooden, the ceilings are high and the solid oak doors came from an old church. When we are working you can feel the energy. Everyone is cheerful and professional; happy to be collaborating with each other again. Every member of the team knows their role: the hair stylists, makeup artists, digital tech, assistants, producer, models and photographer, and we're all working together to give you the most exceptional client experience possible. The best restaurant in town has catered lunch and there is wine and fresh fruit to snack on while the finishing touches are applied to the images.
No matter the environment, the results are always the same. At the end of the day you get to go home with a collection of photographs that I am proud to have created.
